Colbert report

2007

Stephen Colbert is very involved in everything that happens on the Colbert Report. He invited us to his office to discuss ideas for his first book, "I am America (and so can you)!" and remained intimately linked with the writing, design and production of the entire piece. Created over several months, we responded to each chapter as it was written with a visual treatment. Illustrated by a combination of us and Colbert Report staffers, every revision was an absolute pleasure and served to keep us smiling at each stage. Designed on the heels of the Johnson & Johnson Annual Report, the type treatments, graphs and illustrations became a twisted version of the most conservative aesthetic. This was the most fun 240 pages of hilarious design we will ever be allowed to do. (That is a challenge to you, potential clients!)
